Splinters has been part of Whitley Road for over three decades, and it still runs the way the best salons always did: as a team. Out front there's a little garden with a water feature and wind chimes. Inside, white-brick walls, big mirrors and stylists who genuinely enjoy the work.

Between appointments, Chris is often working on a wig for the stage.

Chris has been styling hair here for the best part of 38 years, and alongside the everyday cuts and colours he hand-styles wigs for local theatre productions. It's the kind of craft you can't fake, and it's exactly why people trust this chair with the trickier work too.
